Migrant, common
Wingspan: 30-40mm. Size and colour are very variable. Autographa gamma f.nigricans is black.

Flight time: May-October
Found in most coastal and inland habitats

Larvae feed on a wide range of wild and cultivated herbaceous plants including Nettles, Peas, Strawberry, bedstraws and clovers
