Flight time: October-December. Females are wingless.
Habitat: Mature deciduous woodland, also scrub and woody gardens

Larvae feed on shrubs and trees including Birch, Oak, Hawthorn, Dog-rose, sallows and Hornbeam.

Similar: Mottled Umber and Dotted Border
