Widespread but scarce
Wingspan: 38-42mm. Male smaller and more brightly coloured.

Flight time: Usually one generation June-July
Habitat: Woodland, hedgerows, scrub, occasionally gardens

Larvae feed on Honeysuckle, Wild Privet and Ash, overwintering as small larva.
