Widespread, scarce
Wingspan: 25-30mm

Flight time: One generation July-September
Habitat: Damp woodlands, marshy ground, occasionally found in scrub, hedgerows and gardens

Larvae feed on Willows, also Alder, Hazel and Black-poplar. Overwinter as eggs on foodplant, hatching in May.
